Description
This is a white Russell Seattle Mariners game used home jersey worn by Ichiro Suzuki during his legendary 2001 rookie season. Used in official MLB games, this jersey represents one of the greatest debut seasons in baseball history — a year in which Ichiro earned Rookie of the Year, MVP, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, and All-Star honors, while helping lead the Mariners to a record-tying 116 wins.
The jersey features both the 2001 All-Star Game patch, commemorating the Midsummer Classic held in Seattle, and the American flag patch worn league-wide following the September 11th attacks. It has been hand signed by Ichiro Suzuki, who also inscribed: “01 GU, 01 ROY, 01 MVP, 01 AS, 01 GG, 01 SS, 116 Wins, .350 BA, 242 Hits, 56 SB, 127 Runs, & #51”.
Included with the jersey is Ichiro’s official tamper-proof game-used hologram and a matching full-page certificate of authenticity personally signed by Ichiro Suzuki. The jersey is also authenticated by MEARS and comes with their full-page certificate of authenticity.
