Description

Ryuu master craftsmen hand craft knives that are works of art. Each Ryuu knife is forged from VG10 Damascus steel, the very same steel used to create the world’s finest Samurai swords. Extremely sharp, exceptionally durable, and perfectly balanced, professional and home chefs alike recognize Ryuu Damascus steel knives as the very finest available on the market today. With a luxurious feel, superior design, and unparalleled cutting edge, Ryuu’s handcrafted knives are in a class of their own.

Hand Crafted VG10 Damascus Steel:

• VG10 Damascus steel is incredibly pure, durable and resistant to stains, wear and corrosion.  The VG10 core and Rockwell hardness of 60-62 ensure each knife retains its ultra-sharp edge.
• Every knife is handmade by master craftsmen using the classic “honbazuke” honing technique. Each blade is meticulously honed from its thickest point at the spine to its razor-sharp cutting edge until all 67 layers of steel are seamlessly blended together.
• Ryuu knives are perfectly balanced to improve performance, reduce fatigue, and facilitate precise control.

Premium Pakkawood Handle:

• Pakkawood is an extremely tough, durable, and beautifully grained hardwood that is naturally heat and moisture resistant.
• Pakkawood veneers are treated with thermosetting resins and are fused into a solid, homogeneous block of material that is solid, attractive, and has the ability to retain a long lasting glossy finish.
